Simon/Nick
Great to see you two on the forum. Simon, proclaim what you like – even that you like Marmite if you wish!! Nick, thanks – its Pete’s work. He put an awful lot into it. I owe him a couple of vats of strong black coffee for starters…….

Simon, main thing to do on the profile page is to set a sensible password you can remember, woud be good if everyone added a personal Avatar so everyone can know what people look like everything else is optional (and I haven’t bothered with any of it!)

Nick, thanks, as I get older I find I need clean looking websites cos I can’t read red text on black backgrounds with little hightlight boxes diagonally splashed on the screen etc… 🙂

Tony think we may be onto the beer phase soon! facetube that you broke already… may be fixed, will find out when I hit Submit in a second or three, then I am off to tescos to get something to cook for my tea!!! 🙂

Cool so you are coming to see Goldfish Don’t Bounce then 🙂 Tickets were designed and printed by me, so I have ticket numbers one and two, will collect my pint then… will also pop round for some coffee once we have an order in the shop.

Is there a way to reply to a specific post, so they stack? as I see it, replies simply get posted in order, so my reply might be several comments down from the item to which I was actually replying. Might get confusing when we get several topics going, as we sometimes do.

Hi Harri

At the moment the forum software only allows 1 child level on replies, so you have topic then replies to that topic. it did have a quote option at one time, but there was a security hole in that code so I installed the update which rather than fix it removed it!

Slightly annoying!! but worth waiting for the official fix as this is the simplist forum that attaches to the WordPress Blog. Looking at the Yahoo forum history it’s not looking too bad a problem with people starting new topics when replies start to deviate from the initial topic.

I noticed that only Tony has created new topics so far, is this a bug in the system or just nobody else has done it yet? Hari can you do me a favour and create a new topic… from the main forum page it should be the same as replying except you have to add a title as well…

thanks

Pete

Pete, in the Yahoo Group emails, if one wanted to reply to a particular email, even an old one, sent by another, they would simply open up that email and do a reply to it. That way, any comments are directly attached to the desired email.

Looking forward to the new updates to the system from the vendor.

Thanks.

Questions What is the print run # for book’s 25 onward, Why no used copies anywhere? Who has the rights to Casca?
Why is it any book I want, never sells for a penny on Amazon. Is it possible the brotherhood is involved, when it a Casca book?

The print runs are known to the publisher. No used copies of 25 onwards…. maybe because the buyers all loved them and want to keep them and not sell them? The rights to Casca are owned by Eastaboga Entertainment Inc (I think that’s their proper title). As to the Brotherhood being involved…. you can never tell.

“LOW PRINT RUN and RARE Title; >> New New & Continuing Adventures of CASCA by Tony Roberts, based on the Barry Sadler series Price US$ 69.00”

What tosh. Low print run! Just a cheap tactic to try to sell a hugely overpriced product. $69 for a second hand book when you can get a signed and dedicated NEW issue here on this website for $12.95? Makes me seethe.

Just to make it perfectly clear; the Casca books Americana prints under the Eastaboga title are not going to run out any day soon. And if stocks become low, the publisher will run another, so no worries on them running out.

Rob, I moved your post on Roman history that was here to a new topic, Historical Roman Info, which seems more appropriate.

book prices are whatever the customers will pay. When the Christian the Lion video went viral, I sold my copy of the book for $500 a few weeks before the revised, updated edition came out…
