On 16th December the site was upgraded to WordPress 3.3, unfortunately I didn’t notice that it killed the Email send settings. Tony picked up on it and told me yesterday…. it’s now fixed!

For any users who registered since the 16th December and didn’t get your password sent to you you can fix this yourself by entering either your login name or the Email address you registered with on this page which this time will send you an Email!

If you still have problems then you can email Tony from the contact form and he can reset your password from the Admin side and let you know what it is, please be sure to use the same Email address as you registered with.

Apologies for any annoyance, I have made a note to test this function on any future releases from WordPress, so it shouldn’t happen again.

Thanks Pete – glad you remembered. After all, I did broach the subject to you on New Year’s Eve at the Reckless party!

The pub bit is mostly OK, got back to the neighbours house about 2am and switched to Vodka, got home at 5am and that bit is a blank…. of course I behaved, as I always do:-) but woke up just in time to start cooking the dinner 10 people fed and so far think they all survived!

You only behaved as long as your offspring were there.

If you need to ping a test mail off someone, gies a shout; I’ll bounce it back.

Thanks Hari, but I created a test user as I have multiple email addresses to play with… it works now 🙂

Maybe this would be a proper place to ask this. If I forget to log out (old man that I am) will it do any harm?

Hi Kevin

Absolutely no problem if you are on your own home computer, mine is permenantly logged in. BUT if you are on a shared computer then the problem is that others will be able to post as you…. so in that case loging ou is a good thing.

I go online at work, but I close down before leaving the unit. Anyway, none of my co workers would want to be me. Too many sub standard body parts.
