Eternal Merc does seem to have the biggest sales figure, although the most popular of the ‘Barry Sadler’ era books on this website is God of Death.

Currently editing the Conquistador for errors after scanning into ebook format, and find its a really strange book; the first part is classic Casca with great history, suspense, drama and an in-depth feeling for Casca, but then suddenly it goes into a schizophrenic change and becomes something like a history lesson, detailing names, dates and places very much in the way people are told how not to teach history these days. Then later back it switches. Very odd indeed. Its like two people wrote the story.

Tough call Tony. Eternal Merc set the wheel in motion, and I couldn’t get enough. Book one gave a discription of Casca, and had a lot of heartache for Casca. It also introduced characters which Barry, You and other writers have used. It really set the stage. But, Panzer Soldier and The Sentinel are pressing very hard for that number one slot.
