Has the franchise owner expressed any thoughts on the subject of TV content? In “The Highlander” the hero lives in the present but has flashbacks to ancient times. Would the franchise owner consider that “better than nothing” or would he be really happy with it since the main goal is to inform the public that the series originated with Barry Sadler’s books?

Interesting, can you advise as to when it is likely we will be hearing anything definitive?

On a side note, any news on Casca 43-44? πŸ˜›

No idea yet – but once I get the go-ahead I will post it. Cascas 44…. nothing yet; it’s too far ahead and nothing has been decided. Casca 42 is Barbarossa, the follow-up to Blitzkrieg (and incidentally, the immediate prequel to Panzer soldier) and Casca 43 is Scourge of Asia, set around the campaigns of Tamerlane.

Obvious this serie did not make out.
I think an animaited serie (movies) would be suitable.
Ohh, make it happen!

True, it foundered and it seems no matter how many times its raised, it sinks into the miasma once more.

Has there been any other rumblings of a TV series and/or movie in the 3 years? I notice a lot of horrible stuff on streaming services so at least this story would bring some class to them.

Hi, sadly no, there will be no TV or film of Casca thanks to the mess the previous owner left on his death in 2014. It would take a team of lawyers and lots of dollars (millions) to pay off the competing interested parties to even allow one to be started, and nobody is interested in this genre and type of subject matter in the film or TV business at present anyway.

That’s too bad.

I’ve heard of that happening with other entities as well; the rights are held hostage for no reason and the fans are left with unfulfilled wants.

I wish I was rich because I would get the rights and get something done. Alas, I’ll be working until I die.

Thank you for all you do to keep Casca alive in our minds with his adventures.

Yes, the big film companies are not nice people. Disney are amongst the worst, they buy up most rights and then hold the world hostage, and at the same time pump out utter crap for the world to consume.
