Dear All:

We all know how Casca used to communicate with Dr. Goldman, and now lately with Danny Landries.  It was almost like the “Vulcan mind-meld” from Star Trek.  Casca establishes telepathic contact with his communicant, and brings that person into Casca’s historical reality.

The question occurs to me — WHEN did Casca first realize he had this ability?

As far as I can recall, Casca has only been shown to use this ability during prologues or epilogues set in the present time.  To the best of my memory, Casca has NEVER used this ability during the course of any historical story.

Or — am I wrong?  Has Casca ever used this ability in any story?  If so, what story, and when was this story set?

Excellent. Nobody can top Tony. So it was at least 500+ years ago. One must suppose that the ability always EXISTED, so the question is, when did he become AWARE of it? One would suppose earlier rather than later — but this may be something for a creative writer to explore in the future…

Here is another question: When Casca was cursed by Christ was he aware of it at first, or did he find it by accident? Perhaps he knew about it and never bothered with it too much.(Spoiler alert) In Casca #4 he tells Hitler about the cruxification (sorry if I misspelled that), but could of used the Mind-connection, unless he learned about it after that time period. As Tony said he knew about it 500 years ago, that shoots down my idea of Casca becoming aware in the time after WWII. As of now all we can do is theorize, and wait for an answer.

I noticed in Casca 19: The Samurai he told Jinto Muramasa of his life story to that point (circa 1184) but Jinto did not appear to have been sucked into a trance.
