With the contract decided this weekend, I can now reveal that Casca 42 will be ‘Barbarossa’, set in 1941-43 and links Blitzkrieg with Panzer soldier, completing the World War Two ‘trilogy’.

Casca 43 is to be Scourge of Asia, set in 1363-1402 and details the campaigns of Tamerlane, a blood-thirsty Turko-Mongol warlord in Asia, and Casca’s part in his rise.

Any ideas for Casca 44-50? 😛

Plenty, but I’ll have to run them past the new owners of the franchise. 44 will have to be a ‘gun’ era tale, maybe 1990s Yugoslavia, while 45 might be the sequel to Roman Mercenary.

Four years ago it was easier to think that the timeline wouldn’t be a obstacle to long term creativity. Since the author is still a young man, the timeline could become an issue before Tony is too old to enjoy sports out of doors.

How about one of the 46-50 about Casca being in The Armada, When the Spanish were looking to invade England, perhaps the Brotherhood of the Lamb somehow Cajole or more likely get Casca drunk where he finds himself on board a Spanish warship heading towards Britain after regaining consciousness? 🙂

The Armada is in the theoretic timeline certainly; that may be a story to tell.

Nice, or we could go really out there and say that Casca was John Dee? 😛

Tony, cool cover for #43 Scourge Of Asia, as seen on your Blog page. Looking forward to it!

Andy, yes I’m quite excited by the new artwork guy’s images – brings a bit of a grittier style to the covers.
