As the book’s out, anyone who wishes to discuss the story can do so here.

Wrote a short review for Amazon. I would like to comment that the fellow posing as Casca on the jacket is a handsome fellow. Could very well bring a few more lady readers into the fold. But the eyes do not relect two-thousand years of killing. I think the eyes are important in a pictoral of that sort. Just my opinion. Sgt. Rock comics had the best look ever. The look of a man with a tired soul.

Hello Kevin, been awhile since I was on here last…a long while as a matter of fact. So nice to be back. True on the eyes bit but what I was looking for this time around was the look of sudden awareness. Even for the Eternal Mercenary he has to have moments of being aware of his surroundings, especially when the bad guy is just around the corner.

If I was the franchise owner, or just a lucky stiff who gets anything he wants, I’d want a Casca that grows more and more battle hardened with each century. In #43, he looks really bad ass the way he should. But in #44 he looks like a fine young man who could take someone’s daughter out and the dad wouldn’t be all that worried. NOT weak but certainly a much younger look from #43.
