I had a shock this morning (1st Sept 2020) when at the post office, they said the cost of postage had gone up again. This time its because of increased air freight due to Covid. All a load of crap of course but we have to pay for it. What it means is that prices have gone up by a lot. I think it’ll be cheaper to buy one book at a time rather than 2 or 3 in a group.

Following the price hike by the USPS on external packages, I’ve noticed that it’s cheaper for you all to buy the books one at a time, rather than 3 or more together. For example, 2 buyers in the last couple of days bought 3 books and the postage cost was £21.18, whereas if they had bought each one separately, it would have been 3 lots of £5.30 (£15.90). Packages are classed as being over a certain size and one Casca book is under the package dimensions and is classed as a large letter. So if you want 3 books, buy them one at a time and you’ll save loads. The dollar value of the pound today is $1.30 so those prices equate to $27.53 and $20.67.

In order to stave off financial collapse, the USPS has announced that from 1 July 2020 prices of parcels from abroad will increase by 100%. Sadly this means that on book orders of 3 or more the postal costs will go up by a fair bit. To avoid this, order your books in 1s, because the price of smaller packets are unchanged.
Also my stocks of Cascas 44 and 52 will be replenished on Monday 22nd June (the 79th anniversary of the German invasion of the Soviet Union), with Casca 43 following maybe by the end of the week.

To keep you all updated, here are the latest pieces of news:
Books are taking longer to get to destinations due to two factors: illnesses at the postal services around the world, and secondly because so many are at home now, locked down, they are ordering lots of stuff online which is adding to the backlogs, so please be patient.
I am slowly adding to my low stocks. In the past couple of weeks I’ve had new stocks come in of Cascas 25, 37, 39, 42 and 51. I have in the pipeline new stocks of 47, 48 and 52 due to arrive shortly.
I am still trading and will process orders two or three times a week, depending on the number of sales I have.
I am planning Casca 53 to be out in August or September. It is to be called The Last Defender and is all about the siege of Constantinople in 1453, and Casca gets involved in that epic battle.
