Due to the ageing of the former runs of Barry Sadler’s Casca novels and the fact they are getting rarer and in poorer conditions with each resale (they were last printed in some editions in 1990 and some going back to 1979) I have decided to do a complete reprint run of these books, doing one per month. January sees Casca 2 God of Death being reprinted and I will have a stock of these books in my shop pretty soon. Next month will be Casca 5 The Barbarian.
You can go to the shop to order your copy now. The Moor is the 55th edition of the long-running Casca series and is set in the 8th century where Casca is involved in the Moorish invasion of Visigothic Spain, but as usual its not straightforward. Treachery, death and destruction lies in wait for him.

This morning the printers acknowledged receipt of my order and they will now begin to process the printing of the new book. I think it takes around 2 weeks turnaround to I should be getting them on or around 20th April. You can pre-order the book on the website shop as it is now up.

I had a shock this morning (1st Sept 2020) when at the post office, they said the cost of postage had gone up again. This time its because of increased air freight due to Covid. All a load of crap of course but we have to pay for it. What it means is that prices have gone up by a lot. I think it’ll be cheaper to buy one book at a time rather than 2 or 3 in a group.

Following the price hike by the USPS on external packages, I’ve noticed that it’s cheaper for you all to buy the books one at a time, rather than 3 or more together. For example, 2 buyers in the last couple of days bought 3 books and the postage cost was £21.18, whereas if they had bought each one separately, it would have been 3 lots of £5.30 (£15.90). Packages are classed as being over a certain size and one Casca book is under the package dimensions and is classed as a large letter. So if you want 3 books, buy them one at a time and you’ll save loads. The dollar value of the pound today is $1.30 so those prices equate to $27.53 and $20.67.
